Gulia Gurevich
A versatile performer, Gulrukh “Gulia” Gurevich has performed as a soloist, chamber musician and orchestra member throughout the United States and abroad. Ms. Gurevich has performed in prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall, Merkin Hall, and Benaroya Hall. She has appeared in more than 100 concerts with the Prima Trio, a group distinguished for winning the 2007 Grand Prix and the Gold Medal at the Fischoff Chamber Music Competition. This year’s highlights include masterclasses, a guest recital at Oberlin Conservatory and a performance at the prestigious Chicago Chamber Music Society.
Gulia made her solo début with a symphony orchestra at the age of 14 and her conducting début a year later at 15. She moved to the USA as a teenager to study at the Interlochen Arts Academy. Graduating with honors, she enrolled at Indiana University where she ultimately received her Diploma. Ms. Gurevich also holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the Oberlin Conservatory, and has won many prizes, awards and scholarships in the USA and abroad.
Gulia Gurevich has performed with the Boston, Indianapolis, Fort Wayne and Charleston Symphonies, among others, and in many music festivals including Tangelwood, Spoleto, Colorado College Summer Music and the American Institute of Musical Studies in Graz, Austria.
Until recently Gulia, a sought after violin teacher, was on the faculty of the prestigious Lucy Moses School in Lincoln Center, as well as the Westerhoff School of Music and Art in Metuchen, NJ. Now Gulia Gurevich resides in Southern California with her husband and two young daughters. She enjoys collaborating with various artists across music genres and has been a part of a music band “The Story” since 2015.
